Left Unattended for Moments, Child Drowns in Tub

Police were called to the Delsea Gardens apartment complex in Millville, South New Jersey on a recent Monday night after a report of a child in cardiac arrest.

Reports say the child's mother left him only momentarily unattended in the tub with the water running and returned moments later to find the one-year-old underwater.

Emergency services were called, but efforts to revive the baby were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead at South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center. The names of neither the mother nor the child have been release. The investigation continues, say reports.
