Fatal Traffic Accident on Houston’s Eastex Freeway

Reports say Jonathan Ray Broussard,38, of Houston, was driving a black Nissan Frontier pickup truck at a high rate of speed, westbound in the 2900 block of Crane Street, and ran a stop sign at the intersection of the Eastex Freeway service road.  The Nissan then struck a concrete wall, killing Broussard.

Although Broussard was taken to the hospital, he later died.  His passenger, a 39 year-old male, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with fractures to his left leg and was expected to survive. No other vehicles were involved in this accident.  The investigation is continuing.
